Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, but they are generous. You will be allowed to download your purchased chapters up to seven times over the course of a year. We know technical errors, computer crashes and download limits can make life hard so we have given you seven downloads to each of your purchased chapters. For example, maybe you downloaded your Red Winemaking chapter on your home PC and forgot to bring it with you on your trip to Chile. You’ve got seven downloads per chapter, so you can just download it again for free (remember you will have been sent a confirmation email with the download link).

No. Sorry.

Our digital chapters are protected by the same copyright as most textbooks. Sending the PDF files to family, friends and classmates is against the law, as is posting a link to your blog, Facebook or other social networking page. You can download each purchased chapter five times so you can have it on your personal computer or handheld device, so you’re doing pretty well already, so please don’t send it to your mates.

If you love that we offer digital chapters and enjoy saving a bit of money, please support us and don’t abuse the system. Trivinum Press owns all rights to its digital content and no part of these products may be copied stored in a retrieval system or transmitted in any form by any means, electronic, mechanical, recording or otherwise (except as permitted here), without the written permission from Trivinum Press.

Digital ebook chapters are the pages of books saved in an electronic Adobe PDF file that you can download and save to your computer or digital device.

You can view these chapters on your computer and either print them out, or use them conveniently on electronic devices like eReaders, Kindle, iPads, iPhones, laptops, PDAs or any device with a PDF reader.

You can read the chapters on your desktop computer, or take them on the road using your laptop, e-reader, smartphone (iPhone or Android) or tablet  – this includes iPads, Galaxy, Nook, Kobo, Kindle, Sony eReader and more. If you’re not sure, check the specifications on your device before purchasing.

PDF readers are standard software, and we recommend the free Adobe Reader for home computer and handheld devices. For Apple devices we also recommend iBooks.  Download the latest Adobe Reader for free from Adobe’s website.

In all cases, we recommend that you have the latest software installed for the best experience possible.

Not sure if you have a PDF reader installed? An easy way to find out is by trying to open any of the free sample chapter downloads (like contents or index) from our website on your computer. To test on your handheld, save the file and send it to your device.

Once your Paypal payment is successfully processed, you will see an order confirmation screen which includes a link to download your purchases. Clicking each link once will start the download of the chapter.

As with most downloads, you can open the PDF and view it immediately, but we recommend you save it to your computer, and in a place where you can find it for easy reference.

You will also receive an order confirmation email with a link to your download page. Can’t find your email? Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and similar POP email accounts often have an automatic spam filter that hides emails sent from any retail website (not specifically ours). Please check your Spam or Junk folder or even deleted items) as you might find your confirmation emails here. If you have checked these folders and it is still missing, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

We recommend Adobe Reader to open our Trivinum Press digital chapter PDFs, but you can also use software and applications like iBooks, Goodreader and others. We recommend Adobe Reader because it is free, easy to download, useful for loads of websites and won’t harm your computer software or files. To download or update for free, visit the Adobe website.
